Wreck this Journal: Wreckage Week 1

Today is the first day of The Next Chapter: Wreck this Journal, and I already have memories I will treasure!

I decided to dive in with what I find hardest - food and the journal (ick!) Well, I started a bit gently with drink: coffee. I giggled as I stuck my finger in my coffee and flicked my fingers, spraying drops across the page. It was fun and felt totally transgressive.

So, I showed my husband.
He looked at me and said, "Jamie, I don't think you're embracing the full spirit of the book. Let's go." And this is what we did next:

I love my husband. He inspired me to play a bigger game!

Lovely! Fun getting to hear and see you, Jamie -- here and on TNC site. Yeah, I'm having a hard time with the "sticky" food page -- the gum and all?? AHHHHH! EWWWW! :O Okay, though... wrecking wrecking wrecking -- this will be an interesting summer wrecking with all of you!

THAT laugh, that free spirited laugh Is why we are doing this book. It frees you up to just DO stuff without thinking about it and justifying it. Kudos to your husband and to you! Wreck away.

Your husband rocks.

I saw the still shot of the coffee pot and I was screaming, "NOOOOO!! You can't do that!!" See? I've still got a way to go to get over my wrecking inhibitions.

Your laugh is the best part of this video! So infectious! I love that husbands are getting involved. I showed my husband the book and he read each page with increasing excitement asking if he could play too.

I love that the husbands are joining in. Mine looked at me like I was crazy when I explained the book, then he flipped through it and asked if he could play too!

What an infectious laugh. Love it!

It's almost coffee time here. I'll have to see if I'm willing to use any of it on the journal today.

This is just so much fun. Thank you again Jamie!

You have such a great enabler there!
Awesome!
I handed my book to my boyfriend so he could do the have a friend destroy this page--and for 15 minutes he tried to think what to do.
He handed the book back to me untouched. He said he has to think about it some....
sheesh--
you should have seen his face when I threw it across the room....
what fun!
