Then I put it in a vessel. Suddenly I started to imagine being cremated or being welcomed into the earth. It was actually quite comforting to curl myself up in this piece of the earth.
This month I'm exploring Denise Linn's Soul Coaching with an inspirational group of bloggers at The Next Chapter: Soul Coaching.
And when I set myself on fire, I said, "May I release all that I no longer need so that I may become all that I am meant to become." And it occured to me that when we die, that's precisely what we do.

Brilliant and beautiful!
Lovely representation ...and pictures.
I love this posting, I love the exercise and writing on your body all that you want to release and going through the ritual of death or burial, it is inspiring in that it is renewing, thanks for sharing this!
OH! What an awesome ritual! I will be doing that too! I love it thank you! :)Hugs!
I feel purified just by reading and looking at your pictures.
Thank you. The full moon phase is a great time to be doing this.
Very nice release ritual. What a great practice maybe as each new season comes on. I also like your vessel very much! (that in no way is as dirty as it sounds, geesh)
Peace~

Brilliant Jamie. A wonderful idea! I'm glad it helped you. =)
That was total genius Jamie! I love how you chose the vessel and that it was stone, like a small hearth out in winter. I hope you will release all that you no longer need so you can become who you are meant to be too.
And thanks for the comment on today's SC, I felt very bruised and sad but I'm a fighter and I appreciate your kicking him in the shins very much, LOL. :) I love you too! Keep that beautiful body and spirit strong.
I also felt comforted in doing the cermonial ritual of releasing my 'identity'. Great post, Jamie....LOVED the pics!
love, light and peace,
serena
Thanks for sharing the "you". :)
I wanted to do something similar but got stucked on my representation. I never wear a skirt but it seemed appropiate for a female figure.
And it occured to me that when we die, that's precisely what we do.
That is a very deep assessment. We fear death and yet we fail to consider that death is the final step towards our ultimate existence. We don't know what death is and so we instantly fear it but what if death isn't something that we should fear.
Wow Jamie, what a powerful ritual!
Powerful!
and you know.. by doing this Soul Coaching, we are on our way to becoming all that we are meant to be !
bless you Jamie xo
Creative and powerful!
May all that you have released go in peace.
