This is what's left after 5 layers of flooring: 2 sets of tiles, 2 sets of linoleum and 1 layer of wood. We're off to a fresh start.

5 layers! I bet that it will feel odd to walk on just one layer when you are finished - probably not even an inch difference, but will feel different.
The heart shaped quartz is a great idea for a built in blessing - the old timers used to do that sort of thing a lot to bless the house.

Oh Jamie, I just love these photos. The process of renovations are so dear to my heart. I love how your focus is on the transformation and not on the mess.
