Inspiration... Girls Rock

Meg shared this on her blog yesterday and it blew me away. It still makes me cry to watch it. I so deeply want this for young girls. I deeply want for everyone that feeling that someone "gets you." I hope this film comes to Toronto. Find out about a screening near you here.

What really "gets" me about this is the idea of girls not only being loud as oppose to being forced to be quiet, but actually AMPLIFIED! How this attitude would have change me and helped me grow as a girl... This is what changes girls' lives.

Wonderful Jamie. Thank you!

"I've been waiting for so long to finally admit to myself that I'm amazing." Oh, my god. LOVE IT!!! Thanks for posting this, Jamie. Can't wait to see this movie (and to find out more if there are rock camps for girls in T.O.).

If I'm not mistaken, this started in Portland...I remember reading about it on someone's blog. It's awesome that they've made a film about it--it makes me want to take my 10-year-old niece! :)
